La palabra "canto" tiene un doble significado en español; por un lado significa la acción de cantar y por otro tiene el significado de ser un trozo de piedra… más allá de las acepciones del lenguaje, su presencia embebida por las aguas no dejan de evocar al poeta:

la flor misma que vibra y se llena de azul bajo el claro nordeste,
aquel hombre que va por el campo nocturno llevando una antorcha,
